To mark its 20th anniversary in 2014, Park Hyatt Tokyo will host "Masters of Food & Wine 2014" four times throughout the year, offering a chance to savor seasonal delicacies in original styles. The first event, "Dining Journey," will be held on Thursday, January 30.

The First Event: A Special Dinner Journey Through the Hotel

The "Masters of Food & Wine" is a global series event held by Park Hyatt hotels worldwide, where chefs, sommeliers, and other "masters" deeply versed in food culture showcase their knowledge and skills, with offerings changing seasonally. In 2014, its third year at Park Hyatt Tokyo, the hotel celebrates its 20th anniversary. Under the theme "Timeless Passion," the hotel promises to deliver exhilarating dining experiences that blend timeless, high-quality flavors with the hotel's unique character, transcending trends and eras.

The program kicking off 2014 is "Dining Journey" on Thursday, January 30. Guided by Executive Chef Thomas Angerer, guests will tour the hotel's restaurants and bars, enjoying a special dinner amidst artful spaces.

After a toast and amuse-bouche at the "Peak Bar" to start the "journey," appetizers will be served at "Girandole," followed by fish dishes at the Japanese restaurant "Kozue," allowing guests to savor the best of each venue. The journey continues with meat dishes at "New York Grill" against a backdrop of panoramic night views, culminating in a dessert course at "New York Bar" accompanied by the smooth sounds of jazz, offering a luxurious time and exquisite meal.

Additionally, in May, "Spring Harvest" will be held in the open kitchen of "Private Dining" on the 40th floor, where guests can witness Executive Chef Thomas Angerer prepare exquisite dishes firsthand. In early autumn, a short trip called "Japanese Wine Excursion" will offer a barbecue experience amidst nature at Koshu Kinen Winery in Yamanashi, Japan's premier wine region, paired with local wines.

The finale, the fourth event, will feature Kenichiro Oe, who has been delivering seasonal delicacies with his masterful skills as the chef of "Kozue" since the hotel's opening. In November, "Autumn Flavors by Kenichiro Oe" will present a feast of creative dishes using seasonal seafood, paired with fine regional sake.
