Over 100 Varieties for Diverse Culinary Uses

Owner and designer Liz Biannicme opened La Chambre aux Confitures, a specialty confiture shop, in September 2011 on Rue des Martyrs in Paris's 9th arrondissement, an area gaining attention as a "gourmet street."

The jams, made by 10 specialists gathered from across France, are 100% natural, concentrating the fruit's inherent sweetness and umami. They contain no preservatives or artificial coloring. With over 100 varieties, the range is extensive, including options perfect for cheese, meat dishes, and foie gras, making them versatile for cooking. The authentic flavors, artisanal craftsmanship, and meticulous quality quickly gained popularity, leading to the opening of a second store in Paris's 3rd arrondissement in June 2012.

Liz Biannicme's uncompromising stance, stating, "Mass-produced items from factories are absolutely out of the question. We limit ourselves to high-quality, artisanal creations," is likely another reason for their popularity. Future plans include expanding not only within France but also to locations like Japan and New York. The brand first arrived in Japan this January, available for a limited time at retailers such as Barneys New York, BALS TOKYO, and valveat81.

In early May, Liz Biannicme visited Japan. An event was held, offering a deep dive into the world of confitures, including how to enjoy these Parisian-style spreads with dishes and desserts beyond just bread, along with tasting sessions.

These confitures are versatile, perfect not only with bread and yogurt but also for cooking, desserts, and even as canapés with cheese and crackers. Incidentally, we also recommend enjoying them straight from the jar with a spoon. The authentic flavors will fill your mouth.
