Filipe Jardim, a Brazilian fashion illustrator popular for his work on advertisements for Hermès and Tiffany & Co. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1968, he grew up with surfing and frequented the ocean. Influenced by the artists and bohemians he met on the beaches, which were also intersections of culture like music and art, he embarked on his artistic path.

His career was sparked byLouis Vuittonhis involvement in illustrating the Rio de Janeiro edition of the travel picture book series 'Carnet de Voyage' produced by Louis Vuitton. Since then, he has collaborated on various projects, including international editions of Vogue magazine and other brands. He is currently traveling the world, seeking out the best waves from one summer to the next, surfboard in hand.



Filipe's work is characterized by lines that flow freely across a pure white canvas, drawings made spontaneously without preliminary sketches. Most are rendered in a style of direct observation. This book, structured into three chapters—'Travel,' 'Fashion,' and 'Brazil'—captures the expressions of people and landscapes Filipe encountered around the world. It also depicts the natural poses of models backstage at fashion shows and the rich culture of his native Brazil.

The book includes approximately 100 drawings from his ten-year archive, along with about 60 previously unpublished photographs. It also features reprinted works contributed to Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Paris's Charles de Gaulle Airport. This collection offers a comprehensive view of Filipe Jardim's artistic world.

His fresh works, capturing fleeting moments with lines that convey lively brushwork as if they were snapshots, and his sophisticated photography, exude an uninhibited spirit.
