Donors Can Also Receive Photo Shoots from Konami

Photographer Jiro Konami, who shoots for magazines like "GINZA" and "SWITCH" and has garnered significant attention in recent years, presents "Looking at My Father." This series, which began in 2006, started when Konami met his father, with whom he had been living apart, for the first time in several years. His collaborative style with his father, an art teacher on Hachijojima Island, and the exquisite distance captured through the camera lens have been highly acclaimed.



To make this photo book a fitting culmination of an eight-year project, Konami is raising funds through crowdfunding, a method already popular in Europe and the US. Donations are being accepted via the platform "Campfire" until Friday, August 30th. The raised funds will be used to increase the number of pages, prepare for an accompanying photo exhibition, and cover operational costs.

Donation tiers range from 500 yen to 50,000 yen. Those who donate 3,000 yen will receive a signed copy of the photo book and three desktop wallpapers. For a 50,000 yen donation, supporters will receive a signed photo book, an invitation to the opening of the photo exhibition scheduled for October in Tokyo, and a special session where Konami will take family or commemorative photos.
