Photographer Kenshu Nitsu (Shintsubo Kenshu), known for his ability to freely frame concepts like 'nature' and 'information,' recently garnered acclaim at his solo exhibition 'Fuukei+' (Landscape+). Now, Kadokawa Shoten is releasing e-book versions of his photo collections, 『＼landscape』 and 『＼landscape_archive_7.5』, compiled from image data archives generated during his photo book creation process.

Born from the E-book Format
As a photographer, and also through his work in video and field recording, Kenshu Nitsu is recognized for his pieces that reframe the informational environment, such as networks surrounding us, as 'landscape.' His photo book 『Fuukei』 (Landscape), released last April, garnered significant attention as a culmination of his recent activities.
The e-book versions, 『＼landscape』 and 『＼landscape_archive_7.5』, are being released as re-edited compilations of the archives from the photo book 『＼Fuukei』.
『＼landscape_archive_7.5』 reconstructs fragments of photographs, including those of Momoiro Clover Z and Etsuko Yakushimaru, as well as Hatsune Miku from the Dortmund Exhibition of Media Arts, which Kenshu Nitsu has captured across various media, from the vast digital data generated during the production process.
In computer programming, '＼' (backslash) functions to nullify subsequent concepts. What lies beyond this invalidated landscape?—We invite you to journey into the world of e-books, distinct from paper photo books, as presented by Nitsu, who continues to release ambitious works.
