Limited Edition Posters with Hand-Signed Autographs by Asano Also Available

For its fourth exhibition, PASS THE BATON GALLERY presents original drawings from a four-panel manga series, exclusively created for PASS THE BATON WEB (http://www.pass-the-baton.com/) by the acclaimed actor Tadanobu Asano, who has appeared in numerous films and consistently garners attention. The exhibition also features a selection of art pieces that Asano has been developing as his life's work (some items will be available for purchase).

During the exhibition period, from Friday, July 9th to Thursday, July 22nd, posters of Asano's particularly cherished works will also be sold (first-come, first-served purchase bonus: limited number with hand-signed autographs).

Regarding the exhibition "The Actor's Daily Life," Asano comments: "Everything I see and hear, everything that passes through my mind, ignites my imagination. I've always drawn pictures in that way, but I never really thought about what I wanted to use to depict the world I imagined. Then, one day, after seeing the work of an artist I admire, I decided to draw on materials I had previously overlooked, such as scrap materials, cardboard, and discarded flyers.

Combining things isn't easy for me, but it's enjoyable to be able to evoke a different kind of imagination through it. Looking back, I realize I was doodling on everything as a child – my bag, my shoes, my textbooks. I intend to continue painting over everything around me with that same sensibility. Although the pieces displayed here were created some time ago, I personally consider them entirely new works."
