This exhibition celebrates the republication of the photobook "Nippon Takaine," originally published in 1999 and so popular that it became difficult for the photographer himself to obtain. The photobook will be released on Monday, August 2nd, but is available for pre-sale at the venue.

"Nippon Takaine" features portraits of Asians from 14 countries, including China, Mongolia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Myanmar, who live in Japan, captured by Masayuki Yoshinaga.
The venue displays a lineup of works from the photobook, presented in original frames. Experience the overwhelming power emanating from Yoshinaga's signature style of directly confronting the minority.

Masayuki Yoshinaga
Photographer. Born in Juso, Osaka in 1964. He has continuously photographed minorities living in Japan, such as biker gangs, street gangs, kogals, and foreign residents, and has garnered significant international acclaim. His published works include "Zoku" (Little More) and "Moushiwake Gozaimasen" (Shinchosha), among many others.
