Tsuyoshi Araki Solo Exhibition "dot to line" Opens

Tsuyoshi Araki, an artist who fluidly crosses over genres such as movies and programming, and graphic design, while keeping pace with the latest concepts in fashion and music, will hold his solo exhibition "dot to line" from Friday, February 28th, at GALLERY SPEAK FOR in Daikanyama.

Gaining High Acclaim for VJ Work in Music Videos and Shows

Tsuyoshi Araki's unique expressions are rooted in an era of fortunate connections between music and visuals. While constantly incorporating updated and diverse idea sources, his work emphasizes bold yet meticulous, interactive experiences.

While past exhibitions have featured installations using video and programming, this solo exhibition "dot to line" is the first attempt to primarily frame Araki's 2D expressions as artworks. By deliberately narrowing the scope to 2D works, the exhibition aims to further enrich the potential and creativity inherent in graphic design.

Gallery Talk Held from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 28th

The graphic works, produced from A to Z and forming the core of the exhibition, are conceived as music and titles created by a "fictional music artist." Each piece becomes a "dot," and through linked real music and merchandise, the artist's total presence and traces are illuminated as a "line."

In addition to exhibiting and selling 26 new print works, related items such as mugs and CDs will also be available. Furthermore, special collaborative items for this exhibition, created by Kazuhisa Komura, Creative Director of the fashion brand "5351 POUR LES HOMMES ET LES FEMMES," and others, will be exhibited and sold.
