Expressing the Beauty of "Pearl" Sanctuaries Visited by Hiroshi Tamaki
TASAKI carries forward the spirit of meticulous pearl cultivation, nurtured from its origins, as its brand DNA. With its own pearl farms in Japan's Kujukushima, Nagasaki, and in Myanmar overseas, the company consistently produces high-quality pearl jewelry through integrated production, processing, and sales. Furthermore, TASAKI is a leading Japanese jeweler, holding the unique qualification of "sightholder" to purchase rough diamonds directly from the De Beers Group.
Actor Hiroshi Tamaki, active both domestically and internationally, was invited as the photographer to express TASAKI's brand story, centered on its two key elements: diamonds and pearls. In 2011, Tamaki photographed Botswana with a focus on diamonds, later exhibiting his travel memories as a photo exhibition.

This second exhibition showcases a collection of works taken by Hiroshi Tamaki during his visits to the "pearl" sanctuaries of Kujukushima, Nagasaki, and Myanmar. The exhibition captures the mystical allure of the different pearls born in these two countries and the natural environments that nurture them. Visitors can also discover unseen facets of pearls, including their production and the jewelry crafting process, through these photographs. Tamaki himself directed the spatial composition and background music, creating a tranquil atmosphere imbued with his creativity for viewing the artworks.
Tamaki commented, "I focused on pearls, which are created by nature. Both pearls and the Earth are 'spheres,' and many things in nature exist as 'spheres.' I took these photos with the idea of connecting these 'spheres' through imagery."
