Tim Barber has garnered significant attention for his unique and sharp aesthetic sensibility, discovering and capturing the delicate beauty hidden within seemingly casual scenes. Born in Vancouver, Canada, in 1979, Barber has demonstrated diverse talents not only as a photographer but also as an editor and curator, having served as photo editor for the American magazine 'Vice Magazine' and launched the online gallery 'tinyvices,' significantly influencing the art world.

His connection with Japan is also quite deep, having released a photobook last year in collaboration with the Japanese fashion brand 'Wacko Maria.' And now, Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, founded in 2009 by director Yuka Tsuruno, is hosting Tim Barber's third solo exhibition.

The exhibition features prints of 23 previously unreleased works, including the series 'Aurel and Donald,' which captures the couple composed of artist Aurel Schmidt and Donald Cumming, the vocalist of The Virgins.

Tim Barber's latest works, created by the artist who directs his camera across a wide range of subjects from portraits to landscapes and narrative scenes. These pieces possess a tolerant and accessible imagery, yet are interwoven with an element of mystery.
