Araki's photographs contain the question of how we can build and richly develop relationships with others. His essential elements, "Eros" and "Thanatos (death)," have been interpreted in various ways through his diverse works.

This commemorative exhibition, Araki's 20th solo show at Taka Ishii Gallery, features new works that express his unique worldview, advocating for the importance of "eroreal" photography against the facile expressions found in the abundant gravure images circulating today. Visitors can immerse themselves in the "Araki World," where he continues to reveal the myriad moments of human "life" through the unique medium of photography.

To coincide with this solo exhibition, a photobook titled "Ero-Real" will also be published. Furthermore, an opening reception will be held from 6 PM on the first day.
