Acrylic Originals and New Experimental Works

Born in Kyoto in 1981, Fumitake Uchida graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design. In 2008, four of his works were selected for "DESTINATION JAPAN," an exhibition hosted by MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art, New York). He subsequently illustrated for the New York, Paris, and London editions of the global creator's annual, "LE BOOK." His work has also been projected onto stage sets for musicals directed by Ammon Miyamoto, and featured in advertising graphics and book designs, garnering attention not only within the art world but across various fields.

This solo exhibition in Tokyo, his first in two years, showcases original acrylic paintings alongside new experimental pieces that explore variations on the same motif using piezography. The venue will also feature and sell his musical works, three-dimensional pieces, and postcard sets.

Additionally, a gallery talk will be held on the opening day, Friday the 26th, from 6:30 PM, with Fumitake Uchida discussing his work, moderated by Akimasa Mitsutomi of vision track.

Uchida's art, praised as "new wabi-sabi" for its sophisticated color balance and its ability to distill the essence of painting, invites viewers to explore the "change" he sought and the new world it has revealed. We encourage you to experience it at this exhibition.
