Yoshiya Fujiwara, a leading Japanese photographer, made a striking debut with his first work, 'India Wandering,' in 1972, and received the Kimura Ihei Photography Award in 1977. The current exhibition celebrates the release of his limited edition photobook 'COLORS,' which garnered attention at a photo salon in Paris last year.

'Yume Tsuré' showcases an experimental series of photographs by Fujiwara, taken in the late 1970s. For this project, he personally designed and created a striking kimono and obi from fragments of Taisho and early Showa-era textiles, sourced from antique dealers in Kyoto and Tokyo. He then undertook an elaborate photoshoot in the 'rainy forests' of Seattle, USA, to complete the series.

The venue displays approximately 30 works, primarily smaller pieces from the photobook. The eroticism emanating from the bodies of women, juxtaposed with the opulent settings and mystical forests, possesses a captivating blend of bewitchment and angelic innocence. This allure, over three decades later, still radiates a divine presence.

'Yume Tsuré' features silver gelatin prints, meticulously hand-developed from color negatives, a technique now rarely seen. This exhibition invites you to experience the vibrant energy of Fujiwara's youth, a photographer, writer, and intellectual active in multiple fields.
