At the gallery "artdish" in Kagurazaka, an exhibition titled "The Cycle of Flowers," featuring original works by Kazuo Uemura and special events exploring his otherworldly eroticism, is being held until Sunday, April 21st.

The Beauty of "Uemura Eroticism" Cast Upon the Modern Age

Kazuo Uemura's Erotic Lines──Kazuo Uemura's 1975 work "Aku no Hana" (original story by Hideo Okazaki), by the manga artist who continuously depicted women throughout his life, was reissued by Mandarake last October.

This exhibition showcases his powerful original manuscripts and erotic artworks, for which Uemura also left many works as an illustrator. Additionally, "The Ultimate Piece" gifted to his close friend, director Mitsuhiko Kuze, will be specially displayed.

Furthermore, in a new initiative, collage artist Kosuke Kawamura has boldly collaged Kazuo Uemura's world, unfolding an otherworldly eroticism.

Kazuo Uemura Original Art Exhibition "Nagisa's Room" held in 2011Following the "Nagisa's Room" exhibition in 2011, she will present another special live performance. Featuring songs associated with Kazuo Uemura, nostalgic kayōkyoku numbers, and original pieces, an acoustic session will unfold with Pierre Takahashi on guitar.
