Autograph Session on Saturday, March 23rd

Asami Kiyokawa, one of today's most talked-about artists, began her career as a fashion magazine model while attending Bunka Fashion College. She later gained widespread recognition for her "Beauty Hunt" series, in which she embroiders photographs of fashionable women, transforming them into flora and fauna. In recent years, she has also garnered attention for her numerous picture book series, including adaptations of Kenji Miyazawa's masterpieces "Night on the Galactic Railroad" and "Gusukō Budori no Denki." Her vibrant and delicate worldview has earned her immense support, particularly among young women.

Kiyokawa's latest work features original illustrations from the picture book "Alice in Wonderland's Nursery." This book is a gentle retelling of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll himself, intended for children. Kiyokawa has selected 25 scenes from the story, depicting Alice's dream and journey of adventure using fabric, thread, beads, and sequins.

Additionally, an autograph session with Kiyokawa will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, at 3:00 PM during the exhibition period. Vouchers will be distributed to those who purchase the picture book "Alice in Wonderland's Nursery" at the gallery on the day of the event.

Kiyokawa has attempted 3D expression for the first time in this work. We hope you will experience the delicate and dazzling beauty of Alice, as captured by the artist, and her new artistic frontier, which differs from the picture book itself, directly from the original illustrations.
