An Ambitious Work Featuring Laser, Video, and Robotics, Significantly Updated

YCAM, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and known for its media art utilizing cutting-edge technology, introduces works and projects by emerging artists in its exhibition series 'Scopical Major.' The 15th installment features the premiere of Rhizomatiks' new installation, 'pulse 3.0.'

Rhizomatiks was founded in 2006 by Seiichi Saito, Daito Manabe, and Hidenori Chiba. Today, the collective comprises unique creators and engineers with diverse backgrounds in design, art, architecture, mathematics, and engineering. They continuously generate new formats beyond existing frameworks, not only through their art but also in visual direction for Perfume's live shows, commercials, and web content.

This new work is an ambitious piece that integrates and significantly updates their previous installations and showcases involving laser beams, video, sound, and robotics. It presents a challenging endeavor to expand the boundaries of expression by approaching the limits of human perception through technology. An additional performance of the live show, which was well-received in March, is scheduled for Sunday, March 17.
