Pre-sale of "Tamkun's Daily Portrait Calendar 2013" (Nanarokusha), starting April 2013


"MY DAY PORTRAIT" began online last September as a project where Tamkun, from his home in Bangkok, would draw portraits of people in Japan via Skype video calls. The project garnered attention, with nearly 300 people participating. Tamkun's portraits possess a special charm that warms the heart just by looking at them, even without knowing the subject.




This exhibition showcases all the original artworks gathered for "MY DAY PORTRAIT." In addition to the display of original art, the venue will also feature a pre-sale of the "Tamkun's Daily Portrait Calendar 2013" (Nanarokusha), which consists of individual portraits as a daily tear-off calendar, starting April 2013, as well as original exhibition merchandise.


Wisut Ponnimit

A manga artist and animation creator based in Bangkok, known by the nickname Tamkun. Debuted as a manga artist in 1998. Received the Award of Excellence in the Manga Division at the 2009 Japan Media Arts Festival for "Hee-Sitt Aqua." His representative manga works include "Mamoru," "Hee-Sitt," and "Blanco." As an animation creator, he has produced music videos for "SAKEROCK" and "Toumei Shuzoku," and also works as a musician. He currently serializes manga in "Big Issue JAPAN," "YEBISU STYLE," "Son no Chikara," and "KOKO." He also has an ongoing animation series on the Audio-Technica website.
