Experience Book Design and Binding Techniques from Around the World
This exhibition showcases approximately 200 outstanding books from eight competitions, including the "World's Most Beautiful Books Competition" held annually in Leipzig, Germany, alongside entries from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, China, Japan, Canada, and this year, newly added Taiwan. Visitors can experience firsthand the pinnacle of global book design and binding technology.
Amidst rapid digitalization, the environment surrounding books is undergoing a significant transformation. It is at such moments of change, when the familiar becomes unfamiliar, that we truly grasp the weight of its existence. The intrinsic value of books, crafted with meticulous attention to binding, printing, and typography, is now being rapidly re-evaluated.
As a related event to the exhibition, there will be talk shows featuring creators involved in bookbinding and design, such as book designers and art directors. We encourage you to attend these as well. We hope this exhibition will serve as an opportunity to rediscover the profound beauty of books as physical objects.
