Selected for the Official Poster of the Women's Pro Surfing Competition Held at Pipeline This Spring
Shannon, who also excels as a surfer, moved to Hawaii alone at the young age of 18. Inspired by Hawaii's magnificent nature—the scent of plumeria flowers, the beautiful ocean colors—her works are richly hued, featuring tropical flowers and tiki statues, revered as Hawaiian deities, hidden within the imagery. Dynamic waves are depicted with powerful compositions.
This solo exhibition includes "Backyard View" (45.72x60.96cm), expressing the beauty and joy of Hawaii; the Indo series, depicting dreams of Indonesian waves, featuring works like "Duck Dive" (45.2x60.96cm) and "Mighty Bali" (45.2x60.96cm), which capture the moment of paddling out into a wave; and the Four Seasons series, illustrating Hawaii's changing seasons. Some pieces feature a special treatment that makes them glow under blacklight.
During the exhibition period, original prints will be available for purchase, including giclée (digital lithograph) prints produced using the latest printmaking techniques, mini giclée (Japan-exclusive size) prints, and other prints. We invite you to experience the work of this local Hawaiian surfer artist.
