A Monochrome World of Potential and Depth

Shun Kawakami, who challenges the boundaries of art and design by weaving together Japanese traditional beauty and avant-garde sensibilities. artless Inc., which engages in diverse communication design on a global stage. They view design as a visual language, working with the concept of expressing the invisible—thoughts and philosophies—across languages and borders. For this exhibition, Kawakami will also present an installation art/object created in collaboration with flower designer Nobuaki Kawahara (REN). The completed “Black-lacquered fresh pine” is imbued with a sense of universality through its black coating. The black ink, frequently used in his works, leaves a strong impression. This unique object serves as the symbol of this exhibition.
