ART | Group Exhibition 'Design and Art Exhibition (Laugh)'
Dancing like design, piercing like art. The mood is 'Art ≧ Design'
Group Exhibition 'The Design and Art Exhibition (Laugh)' to be Held
This group exhibition, 'The Design and Art Exhibition (Laugh),' features artists who engage in commercial work such as design, alongside their activities in creating and presenting art. The artists were selected by Ms. Shiori Kawamoto's personal discretion. The exhibition will be held at Gallery Conceal in Shibuya from August 20 (Mon) to August 26 (Sun).

On the 25th (Sat), a reception and a "Gal Talk Session" will be held from 6 PM!
The background for Ms. Shiori Kawamoto's current group exhibition stems from a lingering memory from her student days, when a friend pressed her to "Explain the difference between design and art!"
Why are art and design discussed together? Is there a need to discuss them on the same level? Does it lead to conversations about which is superior?
Proceeding under the assumption that art and design mutually complement each other, this exhibition will showcase photographs, drawings, installations, and other works by artists involved in commercial endeavors like design, alongside a sale of related merchandise.
The secret behind the "(Laugh)" in 'The Design and Art Exhibition (Laugh)' is "a wish for everyone in the audience to have a time filled with laughter."
As the subtitle 'The mood is Art ≧ Design' suggests, is art perhaps slightly dominant (laughs)? Why not visit the gallery in Shibuya to encounter these works?
