Fujita will be present daily during the exhibition, with autograph sessions also scheduled

Rima Fujita was born in Tokyo and raised in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. She has lived in the United States for 37 years, developing her artistic career with bases in New York and Tokyo. In 2001, she established "Books for Children (BFC)," an organization that creates and donates picture books to children in impoverished countries. Her work with BFC has garnered significant attention, including numerous awards.

This exhibition is titled "Maya," a Sanskrit word meaning magic or illusion. The venue unfolds a colorful and fantastical world that seems to embody this very word. Throughout the exhibition, Fujita will be present daily from 2 PM. An autograph session will be held on Saturday, October 31st, from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Furthermore, on Sunday, November 1st, and Tuesday, November 3rd, slide talks and autograph sessions will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on both days.

"Human society is rife with conflict. However, at the same time, I want to believe in the magical power of 'compassion for others' that resides within every human heart," says Fujita. The world of magic and fantasy she expresses awakens the 'purity' within us.
