From "Food + Art" to "Living + Art"
+ ART CLUB, which hosts art salons for adults that add art to food, titled 'A Gathering of Food and Art,' at 'Restaurant Kei' by French chef Keisuke Matsushima—a chef who has earned one Michelin star for six consecutive years in Nice and two consecutive years in Tokyo—is now adding art to 'living' following 'food.'
The first installment of this initiative is the exhibition 'FLEXFORM × +ARTCLUB VOL.1 HIRAKU SUZUKI,' featuring artist Hiraku Suzuki. This exhibition, which began on November 17th, showcases Suzuki's drawing works, which transcend boundaries across various fields such as art, music, and fashion both domestically and internationally, within a living space. It proposes a comfortable yet stimulating environment where art coexists with daily life.
A Sense of Excavating Fictional Artifacts from the Past
Hiraku Suzuki is one of the most talked-about young creators today, recently discovered by fashion designer Rei Kawakubo, leading to collaborations not only in the interior of the Comme des Garçons Beijing store but also simultaneously across six directly managed stores in Aoyama, Kyoto, London, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Beijing. His drawing works, created with the feeling of 'excavating fictional artifacts from a white paper using a pen, as if digging up fragments of past relics from the soil,' quietly evoke memories and images that transcend time and space in the viewer. This exhibition runs until the end of December. Don't miss the brilliance of this emerging talent.
