A Collaboration Between Kenshu Shintsubo and Akari Hayami, Entering a New Phase
Akari Hayami, the subject of this exhibition, has been active as a member of the idol group "Momoiro Clover." Concurrently, she has participated in numerous projects shot by Shintsubo, including the campaign for novelist Takako Sato's new book, "Can You Hear Me? School & Music."
Kenshu Shintsubo × Akari Hayami "Spring Ephemeral" comprises a series of portraits titled "Fluid / Girl," first published in the magazine "IANN vol.5" (published by FOIL) last year by photographer Kenshu Shintsubo. It also includes photographs from the "Can You Hear Me? School & Music" project, works created in 2011 and published on honeyee.com titled "Spring Ephemeral," new works featuring photographs and environmental sounds recorded on Akari Hayami's 16th birthday, March 17, 2011, and fragments of soundscapes previously recorded by both artists.
