Radio Program "TOKYO MOON" by Toshio Matsuura Begins!
Sunday nights, a personal time that flows leisurely with sophisticated music, is a moment of bliss for adults. Delivering such rich time is DJToshio Matsuura's radio program "TOKYO MOON"—. Every Sunday, he broadcasts carefully selected wonderful music from around the world and topics that stimulate intellectual curiosity for adults on Inter FM 76.1MHz from 7 PM. Here, Toshio Matsuura himself will present the program as it airs each week. So, what has he picked out this time?

Making Sunday nights, which tend to be melancholic, a little more enjoyable
The inaugural episode aired on the last night of the New Year's holiday period, marking the beginning of a new year and a new decade. As it was the New Year, we started with "Matsuri no Gensou" (Festival Fantasy) by Hideo Shiraki Quintet, featuring impressive koto melodies. Then, we moved to "La Puerta," a Latin number by Roy Hargrove, who was my personal best hit last year and is scheduled to visit Japan soon, followed by the jazz masterpiece "TOKYO BLUES" inspired by Tokyo. Finally, we presented a non-stop selection up to Terry Callier's "TOKYO MOON," which also became the title of this program.
This time, I've gathered songs that are "casually good" and not often heard. As it was the first episode, my talk might have been a bit awkward, so please bear with me. Thank you for your support.

William Kentridge, a South African artist renowned for his analog technique of gradually altering drawings made with charcoal and pastel, then photographing each stage to create animation-like works. His first large-scale solo exhibition in Japan is currently being held at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.
While his primary themes often address the dark history of apartheid and politically charged subjects in his native South Africa, his simple touch gives his work a pop art feel. The overwhelming presence of his artworks is something to be experienced in person.
