We've Used Gold for the First Time with B・G!
—This is the long-awaited new release, following the polo shirt and Bearbrick launched in the summer of 2009.
Keiko TodaNew releases for the B・G brand often coincide with our live performances twice a year, so although this release is a bit delayed, we've created something that was worth the wait. We'd been planning this new hoodie and scarf for a while, and it's finally come to fruition. GO immediately agreed, saying, 'Let's make them!'
Go UekiThe two of us have completed items packed with our unique vision.
TodaFor this hoodie, we've used gold for the first time with B・G. We both own sneakers with gold studs, and that inspired me to say to GO, 'Gold is great, isn't it?'
UekiBlack and gold is a combination we haven't had with B・G before, and I don't own anything like it myself, so I really wanted it. We do have black and silver items, though.
TodaWe were particular about how the gold was used, too.
UekiYes, we worked hard on the distressed look of the foil on the chest emblem!

TodaFor the hoodie, we also went to great lengths to choose the fabric. I used a fabric that I personally find comfortable against the skin and really like, but it took a lot of searching. When you think of hoodies, you often imagine bulky fabric, but this one has a sleek finish that allows for layering.
UekiWe matched the stitching to the gold, too.
TodaSince this hoodie is made from scratch with our own original body, we used stitching in a color close to gold, instead of the usual black thread.
UekiAnd the studs. We agonized over how many to use, but in the end, we put them all on (laughs). This really expresses the rock aesthetic.
TodaFurthermore, we've used a zipper with a bit of play in its movement. Please take a look at those details as well!

—The embroidery on the cuffs also has that B・G feel.
TodaThe embroidery on the cuffs is a keyhole, and the scarf we made together this time has a 'key' hidden within it.
UekiWe considered using gold for the embroidery too, but decided to go with pop colors instead (blue for men's, pink for women's).
TodaIt's packed with that kind of playful spirit!
K-CO x GO: The "Love Scarves!" Duo Presents a Seasonless Scarf
TodaThe scarf turned out great, too.
UekiTo be honest, I was a little nervous until the sample was ready. I'm relieved it turned out well.
—Why was that?
UekiThis scarf was produced in India. Designing scarves is quite challenging, and this was the first time B・G brand featured dyed items, so I was on edge until I saw the final product (laughs).
TodaA scarf was also something we'd wanted to make for a long time, and the design was difficult, wasn't it?
UekiI've always loved scarves and wear various kinds year-round, which helped me figure out my preferred width, length, and materials. The monogram was Keiko's idea.

TodaI also wear them often, but a plain one felt too simple. I wanted a monogram design that was clean, not too light or too heavy, and a convenient size that could be used in all seasons.
UekiI wanted to be able to wear it with jackets, T-shirts, and shirts, so this lightness is perfect.
TodaWe've added new motifs like emblems to the existing B・G crown motifs, and included a single hidden 'key' as a special detail. Please enjoy wearing it, perhaps as a matching set with the hoodie.
