"If only we could preserve the most radiant beauties of today in the pristine condition of museum paintings..."

This is the concept behind the series of works born from such a wish by artist Asami Kiyokawa,"Asami Kiyokawa: Catch the Girl".

Kiyokawa "collects" a total of 22 beauties at the peak of their fame. For each, she creates a visual artwork themed around a matching plant or animal, handling everything from costume production and photo direction to the artwork itself.
This series is now compiled into a book and available as a special issue of the magazine "Ryuko Tsushin," titled "Asami Kiyokawa: Catch the Girl."
To commemorate its publication, the exhibition "Asami Kiyokawa's Catch the Girl" is being held at PARCO FACTORY from Friday, December 21st.
The exhibition features 14 costumes created by Kiyokawa herself, along with behind-the-scenes glimpses of the production. Related books and merchandise are also on sale. If you have the time, why not immerse yourself in the world of beauties "collected" by one of Japan's leading art directors?

Asami Kiyokawa PROFILE

Born in Awaji Island in 1979.
Currently active as an artist and art director, creating artworks using thread and fabric, costumes, spatial direction,
and illustrations.
Her work spans a wide range, including the art direction for the Kirin "Alkaloid Water" TV commercial, artworks for the designer gym "ILLOIHA EBISU" in Ebisu, and the picture book series "The Happy Prince" and "The Little Mermaid."
