Act II: Rediscovering a Musical Sensibility I'd Forgotten
Act II: The Musical Sensibility I Had Forgotten

Like Retrieving Lost Items from My Teens
This live show was a truly joyful undertaking. After experiencing my days as an unknown singer in my youth, tackling a job with the mindset of a 'singer' for the first time in over 30 years brought me happiness, but also much reflection. It taught me the limits of my abilities and the difficulty of creating something 'lasting,' like an album.
I gravitate towards the energy of live performance, and I center my work around that. Of course, I love singing live, and I enjoy leaving the groove and atmosphere of each moment in your memories.
When it comes to something that lasts permanently, like a CD, I find myself wanting to sing endlessly in the studio, thinking, 'If I had one more day, couldn't I sing it better?' (laughs). I'm the type who hates to give up (laughs).

Naturally, the feeling is different when singing alone in the studio compared to singing in a venue, but it's also true that I enjoyed the work of crafting sound. 'I really do love it,' I thought.
I've portrayed singing many times in plays, but this was a forgotten sensation. It wasn't something I had given up on, just something I had forgotten.
So, this job felt like going back to retrieve something I had lost, and I had the sense of 'Ah, I found it!' It's something I want to cherish.

I'm Not the Hobby Type, So I Want to Enjoy Creating
As I prepared for this live show, I wanted to create something commemorative. I love thinking about and making things.
This time, I created limited-edition velour jackets for all the staff and cast of the live show, and presented original mugs with the character 'と' (to) to audience members at the venue.
And I collaborated with Go Ueki from PaniCrew on the T-shirts and bags. He used to work as a graphic designer, and I valued that talent, so I wanted to work with him, and we made it happen this time.

I truly have no hobbies (laughs), so I want to pursue activities that I find enjoyable as a pastime. Doing so allows me to discover things I didn't know and learn a great deal.
The bags sold out at the venue, so this time they are available through pre-order. Please enjoy carrying them.
Actually, I still have many more ideas (laughs).
