EVENT | Where Adult Clubs Are Born: A Community Share Space

BUKATSUDO Hosts Lectures and Workshops

BUKATSUDO, a facility with the concept of “a community share space where adult clubs are born,” will hold a series of lectures and workshops featuring prominent figures from various fields, in anticipation of its grand opening in October. These events aim to offer experiences that enrich daily life and provide opportunities for new “clubs” to begin.

From Series Lectures on Music, Books, and Cooking to One-Day Workshops

BUKATSUDO is a share space born from the concept of “a community share space where adult clubs are born,” located in the former shipyard dock of Minato-Mirai, Yokohama, within the historically significant "Yokohama Landmark Tower Dockyard Garden (National Important Cultural Property)." Livita Co., Ltd. is the project owner, responsible for planning, production, and operation. This public-private partnership project contributes to the realization of Yokohama City's cultural and artistic city initiatives as part of the "Dockyard Garden Utilization Project" promoted by the Yokohama Arts Foundation.

The name "BUKATSUDO" incorporates the meanings of "movement" (動), "path" (道), and "DO," as well as "hall" (堂), signifying a place where people gather. The space aims to be a hub where hobbies that enrich daily life and activities that enrich the city (i.e., "clubs") are born and set in motion.

In anticipation of the grand opening in October, BUKATSUDO will host lectures and workshops from late August through September, designed to spark the formation of future "clubs." Featuring prominent figures from various fields as instructors, these events will focus on themes such as "music," "books," and "food," aiming to broadly engage individuals interested in BUKATSUDO.
