Philippe Genty creates a unique stage art form, incorporating elements from contemporary dance, drama, magic, puppetry deeply influenced by Japan's Bunraku, and music. Genty, who "comfortably overturns" our everyday balance, brings his company to Japan for the first time in six years. He will present a performance that is a singular blend of all genres.




The Travelers is said to recreate Philippe Genty's own dream world. As he explains, "The scenes progress through association rather than narrative." It is a non-stop fantasy where a succession of diverse transformations unfolds.

Simultaneously, it is a fantastical performance brimming with humor and wit. PARCO has continuously invited Philippe Genty's works since "DERIVES" in 1992. This performance commemorates the 40th anniversary of the PARCO Theatre's opening and the 40th anniversary of Compagnie Philippe Genty's establishment. In addition to the Tokyo performances at PARCO Theatre, there will be shows in Sapporo on Thursday, June 6th, and in Osaka on Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 9th.
