Unauthorized? Yet Legal!

The 39th Edition of a Cutting-Edge Compilation

Unauthorized, yet legal! This is the 39th installment of the monthly compilation series from Shuya Okino of KYOTO JAZZ MASSIVE, a DJ, the world's only music critic specializing in track selection, and a leading figure in sound branding who transforms spaces with music.

This edition is an official playlist, a special collaboration with "Tokyo Crossover/Jazz Festival," scheduled for Friday, December 16th, at Ebisu The Garden Hall. We're heavily featuring works by a house producer from the Dominican Republic, whose debut in Japan has generated significant buzz among the TCJF lineup. Titled "Ezel Works," this selection functions as a best-of compilation of his signature tracks.

Ezel, discovered by OSUNLADE of YORUBA RECORDS, quickly gained global recognition. His track "In My Lifetime (Deetron Remix)" was selected as the best song of 2010 on Gilles Peterson's radio show, "Worldwide," surpassing my own "Still In Love."

His trademark is the combination of percussive sounds and techno-inspired keyboards. In the house scene, he's hailed as the "new generation Louie Vega," and calls for his appearance in Japan have been growing among his devoted fans for some time. Please enjoy Ezel's world, which he will unveil to Japanese listeners for the first time at TCJF, as a prelude to the festival itself.

To listen to or purchase songs, you need to install the "iTunes" software.

If you haven't installed it yet, click hereto download.

Please note that installation may not be possible depending on your computer environment.
