Perhaps, in the end, I believe in the power of "words."

Excerpt

We are at a time when we must fundamentally reconsider how we engage with words. Humans
are not unrelated to the era we are about to enter.
There is a sense of urgency, a prickling deep within the chest.

Excerpt

Gathered in this book are words imbued with the lifeblood of countless creators. As if one's entire life flows into them. Words that sparkle, gems unearthed from the ground of existence. I want to extract the art of living, the energy to face tomorrow, and above all, kindness towards our neighbors from these words and sprinkle them onto my own soul. Then, surely, I will be able to laugh from the bottom of my heart again.

"Famous Quotes That Affect Mind and Brain" by Kenichiro Mogi

An excerpt from "Finally."

"Humans can only do their best within the circumstances they find themselves in, can't they?"

This line from Yasujiro Ozu deeply resonates with me.

I believe that living is about acceptance.

No matter how much we struggle, resist, or cry out, I think people have nowhere to escape.

Acceptance is not a coercion from others or a change in circumstances.

Everything is something we ourselves have created, a "rust that comes from oneself."

I believe the root lies there.

Problems do not come from the outside; we invite them ourselves.

Unless we change ourselves, even if we change our companions or our environment,

those problems will remain, unmoving.

However, like myself, it is not easy to loosen the grip of thoughts that have become engrossed in daily life. We make excuses and flail about.

But ultimately, as long as we shift the problem to others or the external world,

we are nothing less than willingly becoming slaves to our own lives.

In other words, the one we must face is ourselves, the root of our thoughts.

If we come to understand this, how shall I live?

I believe this difficult question will become much lighter, and I tell myself so.

Listening to the words of the wise

is, in essence, conversing with oneself...

I believe this is what free time is for.

Receiving this book means I have gained more free time.

Freedom to us!

The destination of these words
was not the unseen masses, but myself.
