Contemporary Designs Merging Maison's Heritage and Future

The Diorama is a bag collection that debuted at the Spring/Summer 2015 runway show. It embodies the collection's theme: "Looking towards the future by dynamically remixing history while respecting progress and tradition." The design is characterized by a fusion of Artistic Director Raf Simons' futuristic vision and the 18th-century style that greatly influenced Monsieur Dior.

The collection offers four sizes and 22 variations, ranging from basic, timeless pieces to elaborately decorated, decorative bags. Another distinctive feature is the incorporation of the Maison's iconic motif, the cannage (quilted) pattern, in some designs. This is inspired by the rattan chairs Christian Dior used to welcome guests to his first collection.
