Forms Most Favored by Humans, Born from Master Craftsmanship

agete proposes "jewelry in tune with the times," reflecting women's lifestyles and fashion of each era. This collaboration with Naoto Fukasawa came about through an approach from Fukasawa himself, who is participating in the "Koo-fu" project, an initiative to revitalize Yamanashi, Japan's leading jewelry production region which accounts for approximately one-third of domestic jewelry output.

The "GEOMETRIC" collection features a total of 20 items, including necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings. While based on geometric shapes, the designs are characterized by gentle forms with softly rounded corners, brought to life by the master craftsmanship of Yamanashi Prefecture, a renowned jewelry production area.

Fukasawa shares his thoughts: "The shape of a square in the process of losing its corners and becoming rounded is said to be the form most favored by humans. Perhaps it's because the softened corners make the shape gentle. These are not slackened corners, but shapes precisely carved by the hands of artisans."

The materials used include silver, 18k gold, platinum, turquoise, and onyx. While seemingly contrasting with agete's previous collections that carry the beauty of antiques, the shared principle of "a subtle statement, while valuing materials and craftsmanship" is not to be overlooked.
