The French Lingerie Exhibition, which began in Paris in 2012 and has since toured London, Shanghai, Dubai, Berlin, New York, Toronto, and Moscow, is finally coming to Japan.

The exhibition is curated by Catherine Örmen, a French art historian who has held positions such as manager of the 20th-century fashion and textile funds at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, and has organized exhibitions for Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Visitors can explore the evolution of vintage lingerie over more than a century, from the late 19th century to the present day, tracing its pursuit of feminine beauty.

The venue will feature 130 items, ranging from vintage corsets and bras from 11 leading French brands to prototypes of modern lingerie that blend functionality with artistry. The history of lingerie will also be depicted through the lens of changing female silhouettes and body language, with its secrets for enhancing feminine beauty revealed through exquisite photographs and videos.

The history of French lingerie, which began with the corset, is a testament to beauty that encompasses not only function but also sensuality and artistry. This world of exquisite lingerie has captivated women across all eras.
