Collaboration Line "MACKINTOSH×HYKE" Launches

The collaboration line "MACKINTOSH×HYKE" between Britain's representative outerwear brand "MACKINTOSH" and Tokyo-based brand "HYKE" launches for the Autumn/Winter 2014 season. The debut collection is scheduled for release in late August at MACKINTOSH's Aoyama and London flagship stores, as well as Isetan Shinjuku and Hankyu Umeda Main Store.

Limited Collection of Four Women's Rubberized Coats

MACKINTOSH, which continues to uphold the original manufacturing methods from when rubberized coats were born from the Mackintosh cloth invented by Charles Macintosh in 1823, collaborates with HYKE. HYKE, with its concept of "HERITAGE AND EVOLUTION (evolving the history and heritage of clothing with one's own sensibility)," presented a collection for Autumn/Winter 2014 inspired by military wear.

The "MACKINTOSH×HYKE" debut collection reflects this military inspiration, skillfully incorporating details from the M51 military coat and M65 field jacket, while fusing them with HYKE's signature silhouettes and designs.

All four women's coat styles utilize MACKINTOSH's rubberized cloth, and feature removable quilted liners. Available in three colors—black, olive, and camel—they are expected to range from 160,000 to 220,000 yen. "MACKINTOSH×HYKE" will be available for three seasons, but the first collection is sure to sell out.
