Perfect for the Fashion-Conscious Surfer
Cynthia Rowley owns a summer house in Montauk, New York, and spends her weekends surfing. For the past few seasons, she has been presenting surf wetsuits at New York Fashion Week, and from the Spring/Summer 2014 collection, they have been available in Japan. They had already garnered attention among fashion-forward individuals sensitive to trends, with celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Julia Roberts spotted wearing them.
The surf wetsuits she designed for J.Crew, from this dedicated surfer, come in two styles. They feature a color palette that pops against the summer beach, with intricate patterns filled with a variety of colors, creating a stylish aesthetic.

Regarding this collaboration with J.Crew, Cynthia Rowley, who is also knowledgeable about contemporary art, quotes artist Marilyn Minter, known for her work expressing wet textures: "Minter said, 'Everything looks better wet,' which is the perfect phrase for a wetsuit! This time, I've added style to functional sportswear to make it more fashionable."
They will be available at J.Crew's flagship store and Jcrew.com, as well as Cynthia Rowley's retail stores in the US and Cynthiarowley.com. Both will be priced at $210. Sales will begin on Memorial Day weekend, marking the start of summer in America.
