London and Shanghai Inspire a Fusion of Real and Digital

The venue was the Shanghai Shipyard near the Huangpu River. A theater-like space was created, based on the interior design of Burberry's Regent Street flagship store in London, which also served as a cinema, recreating the cityscape of London. The stage was composed of various motifs from the golden age of cinema, featuring a dance show by 90 dancers in Burberry trench coats and suits, a movie dramatically depicting British weather and the brand's history, and live performances by George Ezra and Ed Harcourt.





A runway show for the Prorsum collection was also held, featuring British models such as Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Malaika Firth, and Matilda Lowther. Paloma Faith's vocals provided a vibrant finale.



"I am incredibly honored to be hosting a Burberry event in Shanghai. I believe this event will be a historic moment for Burberry," commented Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey. Regarding the production, he stated, "We expressed Britishness, creativity, innovation, and tradition as envisioned by Burberry, using London and Shanghai as motifs and fusing the real and digital." The event was live-streamed to Burberry fans worldwide on social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. A special page featuring content related to this event has also been launched.
