Fendi’s Selleria, a true embodiment of craftsmanship, marks its 20th anniversary with a special event. The celebration will take place at Isetan Shinjuku from Wednesday, February 26th to Tuesday, March 4th, and at Hankyu Umeda Main Store from Wednesday, March 5th to Tuesday, March 11th.

Japan-Exclusive Yellow Selleria Available for Pre-Sale

Since its founding as a fur workshop in 1925, Fendi has embraced Roman artisanal techniques as part of its very DNA. This inspiration led to the application of these handcrafting skills to leather goods, using 'Cuoio Roma,' a leather traditionally used for saddlery, resulting in a collection of iconic bags.

In 1994, Silvia Fendi, the third generation of the Fendi family and Creative Director, introduced the Selleria collection. Crafted from 'Cuoio Roma' with meticulous handwork and individual stitches, these bags undergo a process six times longer than machine-made counterparts.

The collection features six models named after the founder Adele Fendi and her five daughters: 'Adele,' 'Franca,' 'Paola,' 'Carla,' 'Alda,' and 'Anna.' Two new iconic additions, 'Baguette' and 'Peekaboo,' have also joined the line.

The event celebrating 20 years of these special bags will showcase a curated selection of exquisite, timeless pieces. A Japan-exclusive yellow Selleria, adorned with vibrant and fresh colors befitting an anniversary, will also be available for pre-sale.
