The First Ever Life-Sized Blythe

Originally released in 1972 by Kenner in the US as a children's dress-up doll, Blythe gained immense popularity in Japan after being featured in a PARCO campaign in 2000. Cherished as a fashion doll, it has since collaborated with numerous fashion brands.

This marks the first time Blythe has been presented in a life-sized format. The doll is dressed in looks from the Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2014 collection, with hairstyles mirroring those from the runway, exuding an elegant aura. For its Spring/Summer season, Bottega Veneta emphasizes volume and silhouette through single-colored cottons, toning down prints and colors. Skirts and dresses, adorned with subtle ruffles and gathers, offer a more modern and relaxed style.

In Japan, the display will be featured at the Ginza store until February 16 (Sunday), and at the Omotesando store from February 17 (Monday) for two weeks. Additionally, the dolls will appear in window displays in New York, Paris, London, and Milan. A special project page for this initiative is also available on the Bottega Veneta website. Clicking on the items worn by Blythe will link directly to the official online shop, allowing for direct purchase.
