Add Fur Volume for a More Feminine Touch!

"I'm focusing on styling that pairs fur stoles with print-mixed coordinates, like those seen at DRIES VAN NOTEN," says Yukiko Sudo, buyer for Isetan Shinjuku's International Designers.

"The first theme is 'Nostalgic Modern.' It's a warm, nostalgic style that uses a lot of colors and prints, accented with fur. This season features many boxy and A-line silhouettes, so adding volume around the face with fur creates a glamorous, more feminine look! With many eye-catching print and color items, 'Nostalgic Modern' is arguably the leading trend this season."

From Last Year's Short Bottoms to a Deliberately Longer, Heavier Look

"I'm also paying attention to styles that evolve classic items through changes in materials, patterns, and details. sacai, for example, offers a new standard by adding a twist to basic items. The way they express novelty with three-dimensional, dynamic details in basic designs is truly impressive."

"The other keyword I propose is 'Evolve Basic.' A maxi dress paired with a military coat featuring a luxurious fur liner creates a fresh style with a substantial balance. This season, we're seeing many knee-length skirts, so by deliberately pairing longer, heavier bottoms instead of just short ones from last year, even classic styles can appear fresh and balanced. Aim for simple coordination without too much layering. This allows truly exceptional items to shine!"
