"Louis Vuitton Land" Appears in Paris Amidst Lingering Heat!

Following Milan, the ten-day Paris Fashion Week also concluded in the blink of an eye. Even in October, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, chilled Evian water and fans were distributed at the collection venues, and some maisons even removed the tent ceilings due to the extreme heat.

The colors to watch for Spring/Summer 2012 are white, and the material is lace. We saw a lot of three-dimensional chemical lace and embroidery, which could be called "3D material," along with appliqués.

Louis Vuitton's special tent, which was black last season, has turned white. The female staff uniforms at the venue are also white.



Seated on the chairs surrounding the circular stage, the curtains opened precisely at 10 o'clock. A dazzlingly bright white horse merry-go-round featured models adorned in transparent lace dresses. Silk organza layered over white lace. Dreamlike dresses patched together with pastel-colored lace. One might wonder if such sweet dresses suit adults, but to think so would be rather unsophisticated. For a while, I indulged in the magic of fashion, playing in "Louis Vuitton Land."

Comme des Garçons also made abundant use of pure white lace. The sleeves of a white satin dress were tied with large ribbons. The faces of models wearing veils adorned with numerous corsages were hidden. Behind the beautiful white dresses, a somber, almost funereal expression could somehow be glimpsed.
