Art project "#CANDYCOOL" launches!
Furla launches "#CANDYCOOL," an art project where renowned bloggers from major global cities collaborate with artists from various fields to customize the iconic Candy Bag. Tokyo was chosen for the inaugural installment. The world's only Candy Bag was created by popular blogger and artist Misha Janette.

Production process captured and released as documentary film
The "Candy Bag," an icon of Furla's creativity, is crafted from special PVC material known for its vibrant colors and durability, using cutting-edge technology.
In the "#CANDYCOOL" project, which unfolds throughout the year, leading fashion bloggers from each country spearhead the creation of a single Candy Bag in collaboration with diverse artists who express their nation's culture and creativity.
The process was documented in a film directed by Davide Bedoni, a promising young Italian artist. The finished bags and film are scheduled to be presented at an exhibition in February 2014.
In Tokyo, the starting point for the project, Misha Janette, a fashion journalist and "it girl" who publishes the blog "Tokyo Fashion Diary" in four languages, led the initiative.

With the project consultant Ayumi Gunji, Creative Director of "VOGUE girl," a diverse group of artists came together: nail artist Nagisa Kaneko, producer Masataka Hosoo who reinterprets traditional Nishijin weaving, and Rie Hirota, designer of "ROTARI PARKER," an accessory brand that crafts jewelry from real sweets encased in resin. Together, they created unique bags.
The released film follows Misha as she visits each artist, showcasing the creation of the world's only Candy Bags. Misha's message, "Don't be satisfied with what's in front of you," is also featured.
Moving forward, the Candy Bags will continue to emerge from a fusion of each country's unique culture and traditions with the latest fashion and technology. We look forward to enjoying the transformation of these bags into art pieces that express the individuality and lifestyles of each nation, alongside the accompanying films.
