Capsule Collection of Coats with Kominori Morishita Launches
SANYO, a brand renowned as a leading Japanese coat specialist since producing the nation's first raincoat in 1946, is reviving its "BLUEFLAG" coat line, originally launched in 1967. For its inaugural release, the brand introduces "BLUEFLAG+kiminori morishita," a capsule collection of coats in collaboration with Kominori Morishita, the designer behind "08SIRCUS" and "kiminori morishita."

Sanyo Collaborates with Kominori Morishita of "08 Circus"
With "Tradition + Innovation" as its keyword, BLUEFLAG proposes a wide range of coats that blend Japan's manufacturing heritage with the latest technology.
For the first collaboration, designer Kominori Morishita, known for "08sircus" and "kiminori morishita," was enlisted to create the capsule collection "BLUEFLAG+kiminori morishita." The collection is currently available at directly managed stores and select retailers.
The coats in this collection are sewn at Sanyo Sewing Aomori, which has been producing coats for over 40 years. The fabric is 100% cotton, specially developed to achieve a natural texture through sun-drying.
All pieces are washed to create a unique texture and finished with an oversized silhouette. The men's line features three styles: a single-breasted balmacaan, a double-breasted coat, and a double-breasted coat with a wool liner and buffalo horn buttons. The women's line offers three styles: a single-breasted balmacaan, a double-breasted coat, and a long double-breasted coat with a wool liner. Men's colors include black, khaki, and beige, while women's colors are black, khaki, and ecru.
A further capsule collection with Mr. Morishita is planned for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2018 season.
