Black Styling is a Must

This season's style theme is "Last and First." Like a game of shiritori (word chain), we can add color to stoic black styles, incorporate black with different textures, or add gold jewelry... STRASBURGO Women's Director Hono Uehara shares how to enjoy styling, as if playing an endless game of shiritori.

Endless Styling Enjoyment

"I'm drawn to black. Not just coats, but styling with black that plays on shades and textures is a must. This season, I also want to enjoy the effect of accentuating black by adding a touch of color. For coats, choose simple, high-quality items," suggests Hono Uehara, STRASBURGO Women's Director.

Ms. Uehara presents coordinated looks for the sophisticated, attractive woman. What are the keys to wearing a high-quality coat?

What are the must-have items for this season's coat styles?

Gold jewelry and fur accessories. And I've picked out some shoes with a bit of an edge. This creates a strong, warrior-like look. Having a pair of edgy shoes is very useful! Also, black items in various textures like leather, cashmere, and fur. I want people to enjoy expanding their black variations with unique styling.

What are the styling tips?

The base is dark colors. The overall tone is dark, but this year the trick is to skillfully use colors that complement black, such as Bordeaux, dark green, navy blue, and mustard. It's a season where it's fun to incorporate jewelry, belts, scarves, and gloves.

This season, where you can fully appreciate the depth of black, the chosen piece is a coat with a noble black that catches the eye, featuring a refined silhouette. By adding cropped pants in a color that enhances black, the look becomes distinctly contemporary. Enjoy a higher level of coordination with accessories.

And you'll want to get your hands on a simple, timeless trench coat with a warm liner. The windowpane check, a traditional British country pattern, is both classic and modern. For a ladylike style paired with a blouse and a semi-tight skirt, I recommend adding individuality with edgy shoes and a scarf.
