Aromatic "Coolness" Creates the Ambiance at the Entrance
This exhibition, "Perfume Bottles Evoking Fragrance," focuses on the motifs and forms of the bottles, displaying around 100 works from the POLA Collection categorized into familiar themes such as "Plants," "Animals," "Human Form," and "Geometry." Additionally, the evolution of fragrances over time will be explored, with reference displays recreating popular scents from different periods.
At the entrance to the exhibition hall, a "coolness" ambiance is created with the original aroma blend "kohaku," personally curated by aromatherapist Maki Ohashi. A refreshing scent, blending the crisp notes of grapefruit and Roman chamomile with the cooling properties of Hokkaido mint, known for its high menthol content, and the calming, forest-bathing-like effect of Kiso cypress and cedarwood, welcomes visitors.
On Saturday, August 6th, and Friday, August 26th, a "Perfume Making Workshop" incorporating a refreshing lemon scent will be held. For more details, please visit the website below.
