Last winter, Le Labo's "City Exclusive Collection" sold out in Japan and garnered immense popularity worldwide. This year, the collection will be exclusively available at the Isetan Shinjuku store's first-floor fragrance counter, a unique global partnership.
The City Exclusive Collection features scents unique to each city where Le Labo has a presence. Inspired by the culture, people, and fashion of these locales, each fragrance embodies the gratitude of Le Labo's founders towards the fans who have warmly welcomed the brand and cherished its scents in their cities.
Each Eau de Parfum, crafted with world-renowned perfumers, is a masterpiece. Since last year's promotion, a growing number of 'Le Labo Maniacs' have been traveling across continents in pursuit of these fragrances. Le Labo Japan has been receiving inquiries from around the globe from customers eager to repurchase the Tokyo exclusive 'Gaiac 10' or those who missed out last time.
This limited-edition Christmas collection for Japan has been realized thanks to the fervent requests from Japan. It's a rare opportunity to experience scents from Le Labo's home in New York, as well as exclusive fragrances from Paris, London, Dallas, and other cities – scents usually only available in their respective locations. Tubereuse 40
(NY City Exclusive)
Perfumer Alberto Morillas, the nose behind Bulgari's "Omnia" series and Calvin Klein's "ONE," among other hits. The fragrance opens with fresh citrus notes for a crisp sensation, followed by a sophisticated blend of rich white florals and woods in the middle notes.
Aldehyde 44
(Dallas City Exclusive)
Created by Yann Vasnier, who also composed Keiko Mecheri and Comme des Garçons Series 2. A multitude of aldehydes in the top notes lend a unique clean character, while narcissus, jasmine, and tuberose absolutes build a majestic floral atmosphere.
Vanille 44
(Paris City Exclusive)
Perfumer Alberto Morillas, also responsible for the NY City Exclusive. Le Labo's vanilla is complex. The theme is fine Bourbon vanilla, reminiscent of amber, incense, and a woody, sexy cashmere sweater.
Poivre 23
(London City Exclusive)
Created by Nathalie Lorson, who has also perfumed for Jil Sander and Kate Moss. Poivre means pepper. High-quality Bourbon pepper is blended with citrus, gaiac, patchouli, and other funky notes, resulting in a warm, ultra-spicy aroma.
Musk 25
(LA City Exclusive)
Perfumer Frank Voelkl, known for Le Labo's 'Iris 39' and Sarah Jessica Parker's 'Covet.' An ambivalent scent where angelic white musk is spiced with animalic notes. Reportedly, Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard is the muse.
Gaiac 10
(Tokyo City Exclusive)
Composed by Annick Menardo, who also created Bulgari's 'Black' and Lancôme's 'Hypnôse.' Gaiac wood is enhanced with four types of high-quality musk, frankincense, and cedar absolute, creating a unisex scent. Despite its 30% concentration as an extra perfume, the resulting aroma is delicate and subtle.
