Faithfully recreated at a Slovakian factory: a genuine sports beach sandal from the 1970s

Last year, Sýr/ZDA released their first project: trail running shoes that garnered attention for their classic design and colorways inspired by natural phenomena. Now, their second release is a pair of flip-flops.

The second release from Sýr/ZDA, a collaboration between the project "sýrequipements" and shoe brand "ZDA," is the flip-flop "ZDA BEACH." These are modern reproductions of beach sandals that actually existed in the 1970s, made in a Slovakian factory.

The design features an EVA layered midsole with a slope towards the forefoot, and a rubber outsole offering excellent abrasion resistance and grip. The straps are made from polypropylene tape, which is quick-drying, durable, and antibacterial.

This collection is inspired by coastlines around the world. Alongside the "Royal/Charcoal" colorway, inspired by Iceland's black sand beaches, classic options like "Black/White" and "Brown/Natural" are also available. These products are scheduled for release in May 2022.
