The Fall-Winter 2021 main theme: celebrating the beauty and creativity of everyday life.

The designs are truly sensational, incorporating multiple eco-conscious materials such as jacquard woven from organic cotton and recycled wool, 100% recycled polyester repurposed from existing product inventory, and even chains made from recycled plastic.

Launched on Friday, July 16, 2021, the Felt Line, conceived by Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh, features three models: the iconic Keepall Bandoulière, the Keepall XS, and the Soft Trunk, which has been a staple since Abloh's debut collection at Louis Vuitton. This season's inspiration comes from "moving blankets," evoking an image of protection and utility on the go. Furthermore, these pieces clearly demonstrate Louis Vuitton's commitment to a circular creative process.
Let's take a closer look at the approach that represents a true challenge for the Maison. The innovative textile forming the main material of each bag uses 43% organic cotton and 20% recycled wool, certified to the highest standards. The jacquard weave, with its unique irregularities, and the Monogram pattern subtly visible through the lurex yarn tufting, further enhance the originality.

Additionally, the details of these three lightweight and practical models reflect a global process. The lining is made from 100% recycled polyester, upcycled from the Maison's inventory fabrics, contributing to reduced new production. The chains and corners utilize 70% recycled plastic, finished in a multicolor effect that echoes the jacquard weave's tones. The straps and handles are crafted from leather certified by the LWG (Leather Working Group), an international organization that imposes the strictest environmental standards on the leather industry.
Meeting all of Louis Vuitton's quality and durability standards, the Felt Line, much like the ready-to-wear long coats designed with the same criteria, reflects the Maison's choice for responsible, sustainable sophistication. The Felt Line perfectly embodies the main theme of the Fall-Winter 2021 fashion show: celebrating the beauty and creativity of everyday life. Each item comes with a signature leather patch designed by Virgil Abloh. This emblem, made from existing inventory leather, symbolizes Louis Vuitton's goal to achieve 100% eco-design for its products by 2025.
Since its founding in 1854, Louis Vuitton has faithfully upheld the spirit of "the essence of travel" created by founder Louis Vuitton—a spirit that is both creative and elegantly practical. The story of Louis Vuitton has been shaped by "boldness," opening its doors to architects, artists, and designers to pioneer new fields. Products born from Virgil Abloh's talent clearly demonstrate Louis Vuitton's vibrant expertise and ingenuity in providing optimal solutions to customer needs and global challenges.
