Boston-based helmet brand "bern," known for combining safety and design essential for activities like cycling, and California-based eyewear brand "SABRE," with roots in diverse subcultures, have announced a collaboration model with artist Ryuji Kamiyama.
In conjunction with this, an exhibition will be held at "MONKEY CAFE Daikanyama." Kamiyama, who has been at the forefront of street culture since the early 90s and has recently been active both domestically and internationally with collaborations and live painting, what is the aim behind this collaboration model?

"Be safe. Be self": An exhibition themed around safety.

"bern" is now a helmet brand beloved by people of all ages and genders, used in various active scenes such as cycling, skateboarding, and snowboarding. A collaboration model with artist Ryuji Kamiyama has now been completed, and an exhibition commemorating it will be held from July 4th (Thu) to July 7th (Sun) at MONKEY CAFE Daikanyama.
The event title is "Be safe. Be self." Centered on the theme of safety, it conveys the desire for individuals to not only look stylish but also to protect themselves during active pursuits. Additionally, sunglasses, a collaboration with eyewear brand "SABRE" handled by the brand's distributor "YTS," will also be unveiled.
The exhibition will feature special models of "bern" helmets adorned with Ryuji Kamiyama's artwork, and collaborative T-shirts will be available for purchase exclusively at the venue.

Ryuji Kamiyama Profile
Artist. Founded the brand "FAMOUZ" in the early 90s and was active in Ura-Harajuku for 10 years. Subsequently, he has focused on live painting in various locations, from streets to public spaces. In 2003, following his solo exhibition in Tokyo, he held exhibitions in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Northern Europe. In recent years, he has been active both domestically and internationally, primarily with murals, showrooms, and window art. He also works as "URTRA HEAVY" with Ken Ishikawa and Julie Ukai.
